Frequently Asked Questions

We are always here to help you along the journey to a healthier and more beautiful you!

What are common risks and complications during a surgical procedure?

We strive to take the best care of our patients and minimize any major recovery hurdles.  During your in-depth consultation, Dr. Patel will discuss the benefits and alternatives to surgery.  Common risks are discussed as well as ways to provide comfortable and safe care to all of our patients.  Please come prepared with any questions you may have.

What is the expected recovery time from surgery?

Recovery varies from patient to patient.  Surgical procedures can also dictate the necessary recovery time.  We will discuss this in detail during your visit and make you well informed about postoperative expectations.

Can I undergo multiple procedures at once?

While it is common to perform multiples procedures at once, Dr. Patel will determine what you are best suited for and how your goals can be aligned with our capabilities.  Our primary goal is to provide safety and comfort.

What is a cosmetic surgeon?

We always advise our patients to strongly consider credentials and certifications when choosing a surgeon.  Often times, other medical professionals will call themselves cosmetic surgeons, however, we find it prudent for patients to assure that they are going to a Board Certified Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon to seek the best care possible.  Only the American Board of Plastic Surgery (ABPS) can certify physicians who have completed full and extensive training in the fields of cosmetic and reconstructive plastic surgery.
