Chemical Peels

Renew your skin with chemical peels

Customized professional grade peels are utilized to improve skin quality.  Chemical peels assist in renewing your skin and can refine the tone and texture while reducing unwanted pigmentary changes from aging and sun exposure.  Varying degrees of medical grade peels are utilized for noticeable improvements.  Our aesthetician will help you select which is the best for you based on your concerns.

Choose from a variety of peels that we offer to help your skin look it's best!

Our signature peels include:

Aesthetiq Luminous Peel (starting at $129) which is combined with a mini-facial service that provides cleansing of the skin, gentle exfoliation, peel application and a hydrating mask.  This peel gives you the "Red Carpet Glow" with minimal to no downtime.  Treatments can be done every 2-4 weeks and 3-4 sessions are recommended for maximal benefit.  Consider adding on dermaplaning or microdermabrasion for better penetration.

Aesthetiq Radiance Peel (starting at $169) is for those who are ready to step it up to the next notch!  This peel allows for minimal downtime and gets your skin looking healthy and beautiful.  This peel can help to minimize pigmentary changes and enlarged pores.  It removes superficial layers of the skin and helps build collagen and elastin when performed routinely.  This peel offers a brightening agent to help even skin your tone and pigmentation.  Some flaking of the skin is expected postprocedure but most enjoy minimal downtime.  It can be performed monthly and we would recommend 3-4 treatments for optimized outcomes.

Aesthetiq Revitalize Peel (starting at $269)- This peel is perfect for those who want to rejuvenate their skin.  With a combination of potent ingredients this peel helps to improve surface tone and texture.  With repeat treatments this peel can help build collagen and reduce fine lines and wrinkles.  Downtime with this peel ranges from 3-7 days.  Peeling of skin is expected postprocedure.  It can be repeated every 6 weeks.  A series of treatments are recommended.

We also offer peels to help with acne concerns.

Packages can be customized to meet your needs with additional promotional discounts.  This can be discussed during your consultation if you choose to purchase multiple sessions.

Chemical Peel Treatment Care

Pre-treatment instructions

  • Avoid deep tanning (tanning bed, tanning creams) 4 weeks before, and 4 weeks after the treatment. If you must go in the sun, use a sunscreen SPF 30 or higher with a mineral component (zinc/titanium).  Sun exposure can lead to pigmentary changes.

  • If you are tan or have a darker skin type, we can utilize different peels that can assist you in your skin renewal needs.   We will provide a complementary skin care consultation on the same day as your procedure.

  • Avoid any irritating skin products 7 days prior to treatment.

  • It is recommended that you arrive with a clean face free of makeup if possible.

  • It is best that you refrain from tweezing or waxing (1 week prior).

  • Do NOT use accutane (6 months prior) or retinol prior to treatment (hold retinol for 7 days).  No recent peels or aggressive facial treatments close to the treatment.

  •  DO NOT wear make-up, deodorant, perfumes or powder on the areas to be treated.

  •  If you have a history of herpes (cold sore), please inform our office so that we can prescribe suppressive therapy prior to your treatment.  PLEASE INFORM OUR OFFICE IF YOU HAVE A HISTORY OF COLD SORES.

Remember:   Hydrate the skin after treatment to achieve the best outcome.  Our aesthetician will be happy to discuss the best regimen post treatment.

Post- Treatment Instructions

  • Immediately after treatment, there may be redness and bumps at the treatment site. It is normal for the treated area to feel like sunburn.   Keep the area cool and hydrated.  Moisturizing ointment or Aquaphor are recommended post-treatment.   Avoid hot showers.  Hold retinol products for 5-7 days after the treatment.

  • Avoid makeup after the treatment.   Use moisturizer frequently and freely on the treated area.

  • Avoid sun exposure to reduce the chance of dark or light spots. Use sunscreen SPF 30 or greater at all times throughout the course of treatment.

  • Anywhere from 3-7 days after the treatment, shedding of the skin may occur.  Do not pick, pull or rub these areas to avoid inadvertent complications.

Is there downtime with chemical peels?

Peels can be performed at different levels to help fit into your lifestyle.  While deeper peels afford more dramatic results with few treatments, many of our patients aren't able to commit to the downtime.  That's why we offer different peels to help you look your best with minimal to no downtime.  Tell us your goals and let us help you make the best decision for your lifestyle.

When can I restart my retinol?

Our patient's love our Tretinol® and other skincare products, however, we usually recommend holding any retinol products for 5-7 days depending on the depth of the peel.  We can advise you of this at your visit.

How often is a peel done?

Peels can be done every 4-6 weeks to achieve the best results.  When choosing deeper peels, we recommend spacing it out further to allow for adequate healing between treatments.
